MacOs - Safari - Adobe Reader plugin - URL's requested twice

      Hello,

I am having a problem when loading a pdf in Safari 3.2.1 on MacOs 10.5.6 with Adobe 9.0.0.

I have enabled the pdf plugin and the pdf is loaded fine, but when I trace the requests from browser to server, the same url that returns the pdf is requested two times.

I can also see this in the server log files

Attached a small extract from the log file

      10.0.1.20 - - [01/Jan/2009:18:30:51 +0100] "GET /w2p/file.pdf HTTP/1.1" 200 16368 "http://www.lumacentral.de/Metro/index.html" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10_5_6; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.27.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.2.1 Safari/525.27.1"

      10.0.1.20 - - [01/Jan/2009:18:30:51 +0100] "GET /w2p/file.pdf HTTP/1.1" 200 43458 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/412 (KHTML, like Gecko) Safari/YY/Adobe"

(note - ip and url changed from actual request)

Is there anything I can do to avoid this?

      Thanks,

      Peter
