I have Vista, Reader 9 and a Canon ip8500 printer. I have no problems printing form MS Word, Photoshop or other programs. But recently I tried to print two different pdf files and that did not work at all. When I press "print" a window opens and tells me to save the file (why?). I did that with succes, then the printing window opened, I clicked OK, the printer seemed to start and then just died. The printer window jsut closed and nothing happened. No printing was done. One of the docs was meant to be printied, filled in and returned, so certainly not blocked by the owner. Also, I got it ptined succesfully on a cmpletely different computer with Windows NT or 2000 Pro (I think). The other doc I think should also be OK. I checked the Canon site for driver updates, there aren't any. Can someone help? Thanks.
OK, After having wrestled with this problem for two weeks, I decided to ask for help here. Of course, just a few minutes later I found the solution myself: In the printer dialog box, I had to unclick "print to file". Now it prints. It did not ask me to save anymore. SO that was apparently it. Thanks for not having to help me after all :-)
