You should try the FileOpen forum. I think this is their error.
Thanks for you response. I've spoken with the CEO of FileOpen and he states he's never seen this error before. I'm at my wits end at this point as I've tried many things including:
1) Uninstalling Adobe 8, trying Adobe 7
2) Uninstalling and reinstalling the FileOpen plugin
At this point, I'm sure it's a file, program or setting on my computer that's causing this conflict since I can access other content protected by fileopen on my machine without a problem (I tried content from atleast 3 different sources).
For some reason, I just can't open content from a specific provider on my laptop only but I can open it on my desktop with the same setup just fine.
I have a problem with my PC. I am trying to access student guide. Months ago I accessed the notes without problems. It requires Adobe Reader and FileOpen plugin.
I cannort acees the notes now - get a message Unable to find LaunchEvent (one word).
I contacted course provider and they said uninstall FileOpen plugin and Adobe and then reinstall. I did that. I can open other Adobe files sent to me via email attachments. But I still cannot access my student guide notes. I get the same error message.
Software check provided by course provider says Adobe is missing. I cannot understand why it says Adobe is missing. I installed it and it is there. I opened a few files to ensure it was there.
Does anyone has any solution what to do? Perhaps some setting has gone wrong.
Without more information it is hard to say. Did you use Adobe Digital
No I am not very familiar with Adobe Digital edition.
How can I install that.
I have adobe reader 8.1 version and flash player - the latest one.
Would you happen to be using SkillSoft? I'm still having the same problem after trying many different options. I've been working with Tier II Tech support with no resolution after 3 weeks. I'm getting ready to install Adobe Reader 5 to see if I get the same error.
Any word if Adobe 5 has fixed this? I'm having a similar issue with it.
