Which version of Acrobat 8? Was it part of the CS3 suite?
did anyone ever figure this out. I have the same problen. I keep getting this message. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I keep getting it too. It was part of the CS3 suite !
I am getting the same message as well. Hope someone knows how to fix this. I am looking into this as well.
There were other notes flying around on this stating the message is not from Acrobat and that it is a virus. Not sure.. Will need to find more regarding this.
Not sure why you need Reader if you have the full Acrobat program. The fix is to uninstall Reader and Acrobat, search and delete leftover acrobat files from the hard drive and registry. i.e. c:/program files/adobe. Then reinstall just Acrobat 8 PRO.
We do not have the full progam. The Reader is free to install but it comes up with the Epic app message. Not sure if there is a way of getting rid of it.
I kept getting this message too. The message kept mentioning opening Adobe photoshop. I knew I had install Adobe Professional 8 first then Adobe photoshop. So I uninstalled Prof. 8. Then reinstalled it with Adobe Photoshop already installed.
So far the problem is fixed, at least today. It is working fine, but who knows what error might show up tomorrow.
A temporary solution is to click onto the Adobe Acrobat Reader icon, most likely from the Start menu, and open up that program before opening up a particular portable-document-format file. At least this method will allow you to keep open and read your .pdf file.
