Our users are unable to work with large (20+ MB) PDF files over a network connection.
The files are stored in a network drive in the server. From their workstations they can open the files, but Acrobat becomes unresponsive when they try to navigate, (e.g. scroll down the document). This occurs with Acrobat Reader version 7, version 8.02, Acrobat Standard, etc.
There is no problem whatsoever opening these PDFs directly in the server itself, or in a workstation if the files are moved there.
Is this Acrobat's normal behavior for this type of PDF file size over a 100base-T network connection? Would the problem go away if we switched to a Gigabit network setup?
