I am having problems opening pdf files from an email attachment. I am running Vista Home Premium, and I have installed Adobe Reader 8.1.2. My computer keeps trying to use Microsoft Word to open the files, without success. Can anyone help?
I have Adobe Reader for Mac. the problem is when I use ScanSnap by Fujitsu to scan documents in my file folder. The files open, they are not kept as a pdf file even though it says pdf on the file, I can also see the document is opened.
So when I drag one into my email it is opened and not in file format. This problem uses a lot of space in the email.
It'll be hard helping you since it's not a Reader problem.
Reader simply views the file AFTER it's been created by whatever application you are using (in your case, ScanSnap).

Here is a link to one of many threads on this:
When I access a pdf there is a message that called "could not launch adobe reader".

Can you launch the Reader without clicking on a PDF? Do you remember accepting the License Agreement?
