Not really possible at all. It is absolutely essential to keep the
original PowerPoint files, so you can edit them and remake the PDF.
A collegue of mine claims that it was his
understanding that one of the versions of Acrobat will allow
a person to assemble PDF binders and if there are three
Powerpoint or Word or Excel file pages in the PDF
file, it is possible to extract those pages out of the
PDF binder and then continue working on those pages in
the appropriate software, such as Powerpoint or Word or Excel. But you
are saying that no version of Acrobat will allow that? Am I correct?
You can take PDF files out of the binder, but they are still PDF
It MAY be that some ways of making a PDF will store the original
document as an extra attachment. That would certainly be useful
sometimes. Not sure, but you could try in the Acrobat forum.
