i have the same problem. running windows vista. did you solve the problem ablbol ? if yes pls. let me know how. or someone else pls. help.
tks. very much.
No, I have not solved the problem. The problem even showed up on my new labtop. I called some friends and they told me that they have the same problem.
I'm getting a I/O error also. When trying to download a PDF my computer is slow, sometimes won't show KB download on short PDFs (less than 1 mg), and on larger PDFs (over 1 mg) I get the I/O error.
I've done other "tricks" from MicroSoft, but to no avail.
This recently started after a new modem and video card was installed. No other problems exist.
What issues that message - Adobe Reader or your browser?
Also, does this happen on all websites? It is possible that some sites may have errors in the download links, or that the server is so slow that it causes an I/O error in your browser.
Yes, this happens on all websites. Tried to get error back to detrimine where it came from, but now download is froze, no errors. Tried to minize and bring back and now have blank screen, white and at bottom is the as it was froze at 128.4 KB of 50.73 MG.
My computer (Emachine - a real pain) is 32 bit, Vista Home Premium. Living county we only have Dial Up. Phone line bad? Will contact phone company to do tes and will contact our Server. Note; I had the computer checked and the techician said he couldn't find anything wrong. He download a needed PDF using Hi Speed on my computer.
We get back.
Did anyone solve this problem? I'm getting the same message and a blank page in the file. I open the file, I can see the 1st page but the second page gives me this error message. Please help.
I found my problem. My down scale quits, but quits as in not showing it's working. (I was confused too). Most all files can not be seen until fully downloaded. For whatever reason, perhaps a glitch or the new modum or video card. When downloading do not interupt as in wanting to view a page, but go to Network and Sharing Center (bottom right hand corner - click the computer running symbol) and click View Status. See Activity. If the numbers are rolling you are recieving. Waiting until it is complete. This is madding, but I've learned to live with it.
Hopes this helps.....
