It could be that the form data was filled in as a graphic.
As far as I know, the text is not entered as graphics. I can, for instance, type into the form myself without using any special formatting (that I know of).
I am using a .pdf produced by LiAdobe LifeCycle Designer 8.0, PDF version 1.6 (Acrobat 7.x). The version of Reader I'm using is 8.
When I choose the highlighter tool, and attempt to select text in the text input area, sometimes something very strange happens: If I click left and hold down the mouse key AND I'm attempting to select some text very near the left edge of the inserted text in the form, the corresponding first text OUTSIDE of the input area gets selected! WTH? Any other places I try to select/highlight with the highlight tool remain unhilighted and unselected.
You can't use the highlighter tool in a form text field.
Ok - thanks. (Nevertheless, you *should* be able to ...)
