I use the Adobe Reader routinely on numerous computers and encountered a new problem today. I was at work using a Dell Dimension 4600 with a good internet connection. I opened a pdf file and the reader opened the file and I was able to read it immediately. What went wrong? I am always prompted to update the reader on all the other computers that I have used even if I just updated Adobe. Why didn't the reader prompt me to update or add features? This was unsettling. I was not even able to read the article since I was in such a state of shock. I tried to update manually but it said it was up to date. I doubt this will ever happen again but was wondering if this had ever happened to anyone else?
