First off, where did you get Adobe Reader 9?
Doesn't even seem to be available at the download site.
Just want to be sure we've got the facts straight.
Are you sure it doesn't want something else like say, Flash 9? Just wondering because viewing videos should have nothing to do with Reader. Version 9 or other.
Thanks for response and question. It really makes me wonder what in the heck I did download, now. I know for a fact that a Comcast Tech said I had to have Adobe 9 and then I could view the videos in The Fan. I downloaded something that I thought was right and I had problems, so I re-downloaded 8.1.2. I still can't view the videos in The Fan, with Comcast's new Home Page.
As you can tell, I'm not very literate when it comes to the updates and what's available. I feel really silly because I can't remember what I did download that was obviously wrong. duh!
Thanks for sharing. Would you know why I can't view Comcast's Home Page videos with Adobe 8.1.2?

Assuming by Adobe 8.1.2 you mean Adobe Reader 8.1.2 then yes. It's not a video player. It's strictly for opening PDF files.
I'd go back to Comcast (I believe they even have a support forum) and find out exactly what they want you to download. As I said before, it's probably the flash player or some other video media player.
It's definitely not Reader 9 though.
You can view Comcast's Home Page with Adobe Flash player 9.
WOW!THANKS SO MUCH!!
I sure learned something new today from the two of you. I just heard Adobe 9 and didn't even realize that Reader only opens PDF files and it's the Flash Player that Comcast was referring to.
Made my day!!
Glad you got it worked out.
