You are not alone. I hope you get some response. We have seen nor heard anything.
Title: Adobe Reader v8.1.2 Compatible with Windows XP Pro SP3
One ray of hope is that it seems to be getting quicker. I don't know why but I'll take it!
When I go to this Windows XP link,
it says I am running SP2 instead of saying I am running SP3, which is what my System Properties says is installed. Just something to think about and perhaps check.
Have also upgraded to version 9 of the reader (Having installed XP SP3 two weeks ago) and are still experiencing these problems.
Have tried right clicking on the pdf file and printing, have tried ticking print image box on the advanced print have also tried printing to 2 HP 4250 networked laser printers and all that comes out is a blank page.
Not sure what else to try?
Edit: A pdf prints fine to a locally attached USB printer on the same PC!
Did you (all posters) by any chance also install the Microsoft security updates from last week? It is known that KB951748 changes the way how DNS is handled, and various products (like ZoneAlarm) caused complete inability to access networks and the Internet.
