"Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid"  - Solution

    Level 1
If you happened to deploy the SU1 via GPO, like many companies have, you might find issues uninstalling, specifically stating "Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid". The reason for this is deploying it remotely with a "Cache Installer Files Locally" option (default) sets the registry key to use an @ instead of the full file path. This script fixes said glitch via the VBScript function of Windows. Simply copy the following into a text file, edit where it needs editing, and save as a .vbs file. Deploy via active directory or psexec and your remote upgrades/uninstalls will work perfectly fine, as will local ones. At present you'd only be able to uninstall with the Microsoft Windows Installer Clean-up utility otherwise. This works en-masse, however.

      EDIT:

Apparently I can't paste the full script here. I'll re-post with a link in a moment.

      EDIT2:

      Here you go! http://www.michichael.com/misc/AdobeSU1Fixer.vbs

      Right Click, and Save As!
Open it in a text editor to change the logging path!
