PDF open parameter search yields strange results

Whenever opening a PDF using the search parameter, such as:

      http://www.mywebsite.com/mypdf.pdf#search="world%20peace"
      or
      http://www.mywebsite.com/mypdf.pdf#search=%22world%20peace%22

Then if there are matches in the document which happen to be preceded by a quote, such as in:

"World peace" is a phase often used lightly.

Then when the PDF opens, along with the search pane, the search pane reports that there are 2 documents containing so-many matches and lists the same document twice -- once with only the matches that begin with the quote, and once again with the full complement of matches.

This is apparently a Reader bug and is obviously confusing to the user.
      Anyone know a workaround?

      Thanks!
