I have downloaded 9.0 and I cannot lauch the program. There is no shortcut, no launch icon in the programs menu and when I try to open a pdf from a web page (in this case I am trying to open a pdf on the GA public service commission website) it asks what program I want to use to open it. It does not automatically open like it has with my previous versions of Adobe reader. The windows menu allows you to open it with IE or to browse for another program. When you browse, there is an adobe program folder, but the folders are not showing any .exe files or even simple launch icons. So then I thought that I might attempt to open the reader from the program pages and there is nothing there. The program folder from the start menu has NO listing for any Adobe product. hELP please?
It sounds as if the install did not complete correctly. See if it
appears in the (add/remove) programs control panel. If it does, select
Repair. Make sure to turn off all anti-virus and other utilities
