Try printing a test page from the printer properties and then see if AR sees it.
We lost our network printers recently and that 'fixed' them.
IIRC, this happened after July's M$ updates. Might be related.
No good. Did a nozzle check and head cleaning through printer properties while in Reader, and it still refuses to recognize the printer. Not only that, but for some reason it defaults to XPS Document Writer as the main print option at startup, and I can't change that to stay with the Epson instead. This is very puzzling and rather annoying, since I'm now without a print capability until they decide to do a bugfix update.
Try removing all of your printers. Reboot and re-install.
I'd rather not do that unless it were absolutely necessary, such as in the case of a systemwide failure. 99% of my other apps print perfectly well with my current printer, Reader is the 1% giving me trouble, probably since it's so new. As I said before, they'll need a bugfix update for this, especially if more users experience the same problem.
I have the same problem with Adobe in Vista. I also get XPX Writer as my default printer, rather than the HP printer I continue to select
I have exactly the same problem as Don - Was there a solution published ?
I have several printers available, one local and two on a network
