Try re-installing Reader.
Each time I try to uninstall version 7 and/or reinstall version 8.1.2, I get a message the "the feature your are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. I also got this message once: error-the older version of Adobe Reader cannot be removed. However, when I search the computer for any reference to version 9, I find none.
I would like to uninstall all older versions of reader and start fresh, but I am unable to do so. Is there some kind of removal took or program that would assist?
I appreciate your help.
Try to use the control panel to remove all versions of Reader. Whether
successful or not, then run Microsoft's Installer Cleanup tool. It can
safely remove all vestiges of Reader from your Windows Registry. Then
you can remove all file in the Programs folder that relate to Adobe
Reader. This last step is not necessary but will help prevent future
confusion. You can then reinstall Reader.
Worked like a charm.
