you check out the detailed compatibility information on this method,
especially what is shown in the Quick Bar for the method?
Thanks for your answer, however my question still being the same:
How can I export to XFDF from PDF in Reader 9 ?
So, what were the results as shown in the documentation for this
>So, what were the results as shown in the documentation for this
And what happened when you tried to use the method, taking into
account the limitations shown in the quick bars? All you have told us
is the incorrect assertion that " Reader 9 doesn't allow to use
Sorry, finally I've found the documentantion you refer to, and I'll read it carefully.
I hope I will find a solution.
Thanks again for your help, and thanks for enforcing me!!
Well, after reading some documents and following some links, I have found the problem itself.
I use a pdf that uses Reader Extension Server, and this will no longer open with Adobe Reader 9.0 and later.
So, the solution is to migrate from Adobe Document Server to Adobe LiveCycle ES.
I'm really lost, but my problem it's simple:
This document enables Reader capabilities that are no longer enabled in this Reader version.
How can I edit or change this file to make it works in Reader 9???
>How can I edit or change this file to make it works in Reader 9???
The creator of the form needs to update their software.
I don't know the creator of the form, the file properties indicates that was created using Mecca III.
Is there any software that is able to make the required changes in the file for working fine with Reader 9? Or it is needed to create a new file? Or even there is someone out there who can make this job for me?
> Is there any software that is able to make the required changes in the file for working fine with Reader 9?
Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions ES
>I don't know the creator of the form, the file properties indicates that was created using Mecca III.
I mean the person/organisation that created it. You need to contact
>Is there any software that is able to make the required changes in the file for working fine with Reader 9?
Acrobat Pro 9 can do this in certain circumstances.
What is it that you want to do, which you are prevented from doing?
The file is used by the company that I belong. I don't know who creates the file, was someone out the company, time ago, before I get into the company. I'm web developer, I don't know so much about PDFs.
I'll try to explain how it works.
So, what the problematic file do is to serves as a common exporter, it's a way to export form data to xfdf.
I guess I have explained myself as well as you can understand me.
Thank you a lot.
Note: It will be fine if Acrobat 9 can solve the problem, however I think I will suggest my boss to outsource this work.
The thing was, someone in your company made use of some special
software. Very expensive special software, costing from tens of
thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars. This is the software
that needs to be updated. Unfortunately the software has had so many
different names it's hard to know what to look for - but it is a
Java-based server product.
Acrobat Pro 9 has some limited functions in this area, but it is
strictly for low volume use. I suspect it may not be suitable for you.
What is the largest possible number of people who might use this form?
100? 1000? 10,000?
Thank you, I have understood much better the problem, big trouble.
The largest possible number of people who might use this form from now is 2000, but it can increase more and more.
It will be difficult to find someone (or some company) who can make this work for us?
>The largest possible number of people who might use this form from now is 2000, but it can increase more and more.
In that case the use of Acrobat Pro is out of the question. It is
limited to 500 - not aimed at large companies for this function.
>It will be difficult to find someone (or some company) who can make this work for us?
There are only two choices
* Get LiveCycle Reader Extensions software
* Use a licensee of this software: http://www.formrouter.com/
Well, now I think I have a clearer vision of the problem:
The pdf file that is used to export to xfdf enables Reader capabilities that are no allowed in Reader 9.
Reader CANNOT export form data UNLESS the file is Reader enabled in a
particular way. These are the "Reader cababilities" in the message.
The product you need to fix this has been mentioned.
the symbols in the "Quick Box" carefully. Whoever created this
need to find out what they purchased. Perhaps the Purchasing
department can help if the technical record keeping isn't adequate.
In my opinion the new version of Adobe Reader software is the global standard for electronic document sharing. It is the only PDF viewer that can open and interact with all PDF documents. [link removed by host]
