Check you keyframe interpolation - try changing it to linear.
I'll have a look thanks!
EDIT: Yep, that seems to do it!
If you are using eases on a scale and the range is quite wide, the last frame can show a distinct hop. Open the parameter graph in the editor and you should see the bump. If you don't see the bump in the graph, it might not be part of the scaling operation.
I must say, I have never seen a bump in any eases I've ever applied. There may be another keyframe hidden under your ease?
I'm curious - I have often had problems with things like a camera move and
wanting it to end with a smooth slow down rather than a sudden halt so I hit
F9 to convert to EasyEase and find a kink / loop appears which I have to fix
by adjusting the bezier handles on the final keyframe....
In CS4 the X, Y and Z are now seperated out for Position, much like they are
for Rotation, does anyone know if this will kill the dumb kink issue as we
will be setting EasyEase for individual co-ordinates?
Jack, you kill the issue by using the right keyframe assistant. On end keyframes you use Easy EaseIn (Shift+F9), on start keyframes Easy EaseOut (Ctrl+Shift+F9). The problem you are seeing is perfectly natural and absolutely logical in terms of the underlying math, so it is not a matter of of an "dumb issue" (though one could argue that EaseyEase should auto-detect these special cases and behave accordingly).
Many thanks for publicly breaking my own stupidity to me gently ;-).
Although I appreciate the get out clause, YES - "EasyEase should auto-detect
these special cases and behave accordingly!" - I am humbled!
No offense intended. Apologies if I made you look bad in the public eye. ;-)
I'm having trouble. Working in after effects cs3 mac os 10. I can not seem to get my graph editor to do what I want. Every time I position my camera in 3d space. AE instantly puts curves on the motion path. I tried converting to linear in the edit value graph but I'm still seeing bumbs in my path. I suppose I need to tweak the handles on the bezier curves manually? Is there a faster way to do this?
