I cannot open AE (7.0 and CS3) it crashes on startup screen.
I tried checking the fonts, clearing preferences with CTRL+ALT+SHIFT, didn't work.
It's a fresh install on a freshly formated and newly installed OS.

Sometimes it openend but sometimes it didn't, but now it never opens.

      My computer specs:

Windows Vista x64 (fresh install + fresh format on C drive)
      and optimized for memory
      AspectHD v5.4 last build
      AMD Athlon x2 6400+
      M2N-SLI Deluxe
8 GB RAM 800Mhz ECC enabled
      Cool & Quiet Enabled
      NVIDIA Quadro FX 1500
      Creative X-FI XTREME music
      C drive 500GB
      RAID 0 drive 2x250 GB
      RAID 0 drive 3x320 GB
Dual Monitor setup with Ultramon 3
      O&O Defragmented all drive
      O&O Clevercache managing memory
      All drivers are up-to-date.

I've heard of deinstlling updates and reinstalling them, how would I do that, is this a possible sollution?

I cannot works on my system which I newly reseted and upgraded to be able to work more smoothly :(

Note, that AE7 is not officially supported on Vista, so you are on your own mostly. Try turning off UAC, DEP and also run as administrator/ with administrative privileges. For CS3, please remove the OpenGL plug-in (C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\After Effects CS3\Support Files\Plug-Ins\Extensions\AE_OpenGL.aex. Of course the same tips that apply to AE7 should be tried first as well. Other than that - could also be a problem with the Cineform CoDec. They are pretty sensitive, to say the least.

Looks like cineform is causing problem according to this line:
              Fault Module Name: CFHD.DLL_unloaded ?
