You could suppress the respective system services being launched... Requires some tinkering with the system console, but has been explained some place. just as usual, I have no clue where I saw that, but since it's a generic OS thing, one should be able to dig up some helpful sites. That aside, it may be worth looking whether e.g. Spotlight or Time Machine do something weird...
Tinker with the code? No thanks. This is a bug. Todd? Andrew? Anyone else get this error and know if it's on a bug list?
Not something I've seen myself, sorry Joey. Are you using any unusual footage resources or anything?
Whether it's a bug or not is pure speculation at this point, I'm afraid. As Andrew said - perhaps something odd with your footage. I could imagine Quicktime to act up, so it conks out MediaCore somehow which in turn somehow is linked with DL. Also, do you perhaps have MP rendering enabled and use the disk cache? might just as well be an issue with concurrent access to cached frames.
Not that I know of, Andrew. Tons of precomps / hundreds of gigs of linked footage / heavy rendering using MP. Can't understand why a "Dynamic Link Exception" would pop up. Everything is pretty straight forward in my project.
Have you solved the problem with the error.
I think I may have found something which moght be causing the error.
Are you working with scripts?
I did a clean install of my machine (8core mac with 16GB RAM) and started receiving the error when reinstalling all the 3rd party scripts i am using
(BG Renderer, zorro, keytweak etc...)
I have started receiving the error right after installing all the scripts and when I removed them from the scripts folder, suddenly the error stopped.
Maybe something you want to look into
Hello, I can confirm Mylenium's point on MP. I checked multiple times with MP on and off. Then I started to check and uncheck the dll space checkbox in combination with MP. Allways the same result: MP lead to the error message when I did a RAM preview. I then removed all scripts from the "scripts" and the "sriptsUI" folders (I have Zorro and the like, too). Same difference. MP was the only factor that had influence on my machine.
I am using a Vista 64bit Quad at home where I tried this. At work I am on a 8core MacPro, with MacOSX 10.5.8. There I did not experience difficulties with MP.
sometimes it happens to me... the way I solve this issue, is to purge everything (Edit>Purge>All) and voila...!
Hope it would help!
