I'm trying to replicate a cheesy 70s star filter for lights. Essentially, if Starglow could rotate its rays, that would be perfect.
The way I'm thinking is that each light would have to have a Starglow precomp with the source opacity at 0 and starglow at 100% (then use Add/Screen when combining the Starglow precomp and my source footage). The anchor point of each precomp would have to be the center of each light so it would rotate around the center of the light.
Any other plug-ins or more automatic methods you guys can think of?
Trapcode Form and Particular with custom particles. Knoll Light Factory Spectacular and Sapphire Glint also provide this feature. Funnily, I answered this last week on Toolfarm or VideoCopilot, but it seems today some bad people are nuking forums, as they both are offline...
