    loop video clip?

I want to import short video clips and loop them continously within a composition.

Is there an automated way to repeat the clip as a loop without manually stacking layers of copied instances?

      I have AE V7 pro

There is a loop feature in the Interpret Footage dialog box.

You can also use expressions to loop a clip. Read about Loop Expressions in the AE CS3 Live Docs:

Here's some more detail about the loop feature in the Interpret Footage dialog box that Andrew mentioned:

            1. In the Project panel, select the footage item to loop.
            2. Choose File > Interpret Footage > Main.
            3. Type an integer value for Loop and click OK.

Or you can use Time Remap, set a key on the frame before the loop (set it to HOLD). Delete the keyframe at the end of the layer. Copy the first keyframe where you want the loop to occur. Copy them all, and keep pasting them throughout the timeline..
