    3D text in AE CS3

      How can I create 3D text in AE CS3 and use the 3D Effects in the effect panel..

          You can read how to use per-character 3D text animation in the After Effects documentation:

          It includes a short step-by-step example to get you started.

          Note that 3D text in AE is actually 2D text animated within 3D space. It has no depth or extrusion. You'll need additional plugins to achieve true 3D text.

            The so-called "3D" effects have no relevance for any internally created irtems in AE. They are meant to be used with RLA, RPF and IFF files that support custom channels for depth and so on.
