Following the Videocopilot.net's tutorial I tried to liquify a face.
First of all I Stabilized the motion, then, with the Precomp I adjusted the footage (rotation, position and anchor point)
Then I liquify the face with liquify tool..but the footage wasn't stabilized...and the liquify follow the moviment and did not stay on the part I have decided...Why? Should I do something else? should I use some mask? and How? sorry but I'm a new AE user!...
Could someone help me?please..it's a short movie for a contest...it's very important...:*(
Well...I stabilized the motion from the original footage...then, to adjust postition, rotation and anchor point, I create a precompose (like in the Andrew Kramer's tutorial)...once did that...i tried to liquify the original footage...not the precompose...why? Do you think should I act on the precomp?
It sounds like you should be liquifying the precomp. The reason the tutorial tells you to precompose the layer is to force AE to apply the stabilization before you apply the liquify effect. If you liquify the layer in the original comp, and not in the precomp, the stabilize transforms will be applied after the effect, not before, which will give you bad results.
