    After Effects 7.0 Error

      Hello! I have a huge problem. We have a film project that it supposed to be finished soon. We are making a kind of big project. The project is about 10 minutes long. So now I am finished, trying to render but I always get after effects cant make ***X*** buffer. I Have tried all the methods I could find, Lowering the RAM cache, enabling disk space cache, lowered the undo setting and entered the "secret" preferences and such. None of these works! My work have to be done soon but I just cant export the movie! Please help!

      System;
      Windows xp sp2
      Dual core 2.0 GHz
      2 gb RAM
      Radeon card with 256 mb of GDDR2 memory
      After Effects 7.0 PRO

      Thanks in advice//Martin

          It's a leaky effect or an issue with 3D layers most likely. Could you provide some insights into what effects you are using and how your scne is structured? Does the problem go way if you disable effects? Can you pre-compose and pre-render suspicious sections?

            A simple Google search for "image buffer"

            i http://www.google.com/search?q=image+buffer

            gives you my tutorial on how to avoid this as the first hit:

            The size of the buffer that cannot be allocated will give you a clue. Is it the same size as the composition, or the size of a nested composition? If the size is much larger than all compositions, it's usually a Blur effect that must allocate a buffer that is bigger. Try lowering the amount of blur and add several blur effects on top of each other to get the same look.

              ok this is how it is.. The buffer error i get is the same size as the composition (756x568 ot whatever PAL is) always at the same spot! as Said i googled and tried the methods but neither will work. it crashes round 1 fifth of the film in a longer scene that is green screened. The effects i am using is mostly just tracking, muzzle flashes and lightning correction.

                You can contact Adobe Technical Support for help with issues like this. You are entitled to a certain number of free calls for "installation issues, basic usage questions, and troubleshooting unexpected behavior for documented features".

                  If it always crashes at the same position, it's most likely due to damaged source footage. Have you attempted to split your render in multiple sections by manually setting different render ranges on the render queue? Does the offending section display correctly while editing in AE?

                    i will soon split the whole com into 30 sec comps and try rendering.. the thing is.. i don't get any errors in the main comp.

                      Mustn't mean anything. Since you never preview interlacing in the comp, your project may crash on render exactly because of that - AE samples a frame that it never displayed during your work session and then everything goes *boom*. Happens to all of us. ;-) Anyway, try the split method and let us know if it did anything to solve your issues.

                        It works! :) But it takes mutch time to render it all out.
