Try FREE Knoll Unmult plugin - found somewhere on Redgiant
Hey thanks alot! Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work though. I imported and put the clip I want the particles to be on in a timeline. I tried making an adjustment layer and applying the particle effect with the Knoll Unmult but it doesn't seem to work. I think I am doing something majorly wrong ;)
Apply the effect to a solid layer above your footage, rather than the footage you want the particles to appear on. The plugins generate their own alpha channels, so Unmult is not required.
You can't use an adjustment layer for the effect because the subsequent alpha channel makes underlying layers transparent.
You might find you'll have a clearer idea of what's going on if you switch the viewer to checkerboard transparency rather than background colour.
But for reference, Unmult is downloadable here:
Cool thanks alot! Applying the effect to a solid worked!
