Today i´ve used the "Remove Grain" plugin and some color correction on a 30 minute sequence.
i was totally baffled as AE finished rendering after one night and a half days and the preview boundary of the plugin was rendered INTO the clip.
i thought this is just a PREVIEW boundary, deselecting it also for PREVIEW not for rendering.
also just the "PREVIEW" parts of the image haven been de-grained according to that whenever you don´t set the width an the hight for degrain area.
i wonder how this works with "add grain"
ehm, i think this plugin is pretty self explaining but this preview thingie. how should i´ve known?
I agree with Navarro. Before starting such nunky long pieces, rendering a short test clip is always advisable. Of course I also have to agree with you that the preview thing is not particularly intuitive to understand, but it's a limitation in AE - it does not provide an API for preview overlay buffers, so the plugins have to do it themselves which AE will notice as the normal behavior of the plugin and do nothing about it.
