You need to render the clip and import it into Premiere. When you render, you are creating a new file. Premiere has no idea about that file until you import it. Once you imported it into Premiere and wanted to edit it again, you could render from AE to the same filename, and then it should automatically update in PP.
Does rendering automatically overwrite the original file?
Or do I have to do something after that?
Not if you rename the file (unique file name)
When I render, it changes it to an .avi file :-/

If you replace the clip in the PPro Timeline, with the Composition you
have created in AE via dynamic link, then any updates you do to the file
in AE will automatically be reflected in Ppro.
Sorry to be so much the n00b, but how do you get it via Dynamic link?
The way it's described, it's simple.
But it doesn't work that way for me.
I don't know if it's a glitch, or if I've done something wrong.
Shouldn't have been surfing during the download. . .
I'm packing it in for the day.
Nothing more annoying than trying to follow steps A through F when you can't find C and G. . .
Thanks again for the help, though. .

You can render it to whatever you want and name it "uniquely"
Before going thru tutorials, you should first read the After Effects manual...
