Has anything else about your system changed - system updates, Quicktime or WM update, codec packs, new installs etc?
What OS are you using? What version of QT?
If you create a new project, add soe simple content and render, does it also exhibit the problem?
I just recently change my video card. I'm using Windows XP and I don't change any codec or install anything. If just simple content, I can render it without problems, but if I save it and open it again, the programs stop responding. QT version 7.
I also can't put any video in my composition. It keeps give error message (error 0::42), and after a while after effect closed with error message abnormal conditon.
Are you using the latest driver for your new video card?
Have you tried temporarily removing the OpenGL plugin from the After Effects plugin folder?
I haven't tried that yet, but does it have any connection with my after effect can't open a project? I'll try that now. Thanx
Have you trashed the prefs? What's the screen resolution? What video files do you use? Could be many things...
I've moved openGL plugins from the folder, and my after effect works fine. But my question is, now that openGL moved from my plugin folder, what will happen, I mean are there any effect to my after effect functionality? Are there something that I can do before I remove it that I can't do now?
i'm havin a prob.. When i import mp3/audio in after effects 6.5 & 7...d software crashes and the error msg is here :
" After Effects can't continue: sorry, After Effects has crashed. See www.adobe.com/support/products/aftereffects.html for known issues. If you still can't resolve the issue, please contact Adobe Technical Support (2). (0::42)"
plzzz reply & tell me solution
dont use MP3s in AE. Outside of crashing, which is the most extreme issue, you will have playback & sync issues.
I always convert mp3s to wav's before using in AE
