    Render Error and Crash

On AE CS3 on large HD renders with several renders in the cue going all night long we regularly get crashes with the following error. Any ideas? System is a Hp XW8600 8 core, with 4 Gb RAM AJA XENA card, Nvidia 3700 Quarto, and Windows XP Pro.

Well, multiprocessing? Dual Quadcore? Only 4GB RAM? 32bit OS? The answer is pretty much there. Your BG processes simply die of RAM starvation. It's a not so minor miracle, AE is not crashing completely. I know it's not what you want to hear, but unless you switch to a 64bit OS and get at least 8 GB of RAM, this is never going to work. therefore you will have to turn off MP rendering for the time being. If making the switch is no option, at least consider getting Nucleo Pro. It provides more refined control over multiple render processes.
