When Sony provide the full specs or someone found the time to reverse-engineer their format? Certainly just as much an issue on their end as on Adobe's...

How about Sony native XDCam .MP4 files? They recently added that to Premiere CS3, but AE got left behind. And I can't use the two applications together because AE is still getting black frames ever GOP in the stream with XDCam footage. I've pretty much stopped using AE because of this. We don't do HDV anymore, so that leaves us having to use uncompressed, which is a huge mess and consumer of billable hours. Fortunately SOME AE filters work on Premiere, so we're able to just get by, but it would be great if AE were patched as Premiere was in April.

Well, you can always hope for CS4 or so... ;-)
