Importing hdv: The footage is only half the size in AE

I am importing a Quicktime hdv (1920 x 1080, 25 fps, interlaced) movie clip into After Effects. But in AE the movie clip only shows up as half the size, 960 x 540.

First I thought the movie was accidentally exported in the wrong dimensions, but by viweing the clip in QuickTime Pro, it appears in Movie Inspector that the resolution is 1920 x 1080. To make sure that this dimension isn't obtained by upscaling the frame I inspected the image and found clear details not possible in an upscaled 960 x 540 image. Likewise, compared to AE the movie in QT appears much sharper.

Any help that can lead to a full resolution import is much appreciated!

      Regards, Teis

      Additional information:
System: PC, AE CS 3, QT Pro installed.

Movie clip: Quicktime, 16:9, 1920 x 1080, 25 fps, interlaced, Sorensen Video 3, square pixels, created on a Mac, perhaps by Final Cut Pro ot QT Pro.

Imported clip in AE: 16:9, 960 x 540, 25 fps, seperate fields: off (for testing - to be sure not to get deinterlaced image).
