Hmm, sounds to me like it's having some trouble with your monitor profile.
Do you have a monitor profile built for your display?
Eric I use the standard Profile of my monitor - No colormanaged software make trouble beside PE.
But thanks for your Idea I will check this out.
exactly the same issue here too.
Using standard monitor profile
Vista SP1 x64, NVIDIA 175.19, DNG Profile Editor 188.8.131.52 beta
Hi Roy, how was your monitor profile built? i.e., which package did you use?
BTW, maybe you could email me your monitor profile (firstname.lastname@example.org).
thanks for your reply.
I´ve forgot to mention that I´m using the german vista and lightroom versions.
Concerning the profile I´m using Vista´s default PnP monitor profile and Vista´s default (sRGB IEC61966-2.1) color management profile.
My monitor is a EIZO L997, but for that monitor only a Windows XP profile is available. I´ve tried that one to, but same issue occurs.
I´ll send you an email with the L997 profile.
Could I provide you some further details ?
Calibrate and profile your monitor, then. Until you build your own profile for your particular unit, you're in the dark.
Ramón, monitor calibration is another story, the issue here is the failure Klaus descriped above.
Your post #7 references your monitor profile, Roy.
In post #1 Eric specifically mentions calibration and the monitor profile as a likely culprit in the issue Klaus described in his original post.
I get the same error messages (see first message) on my Dell Laptop XP, SP3 and spyderpro monitor profile, with DNG Profile Editor 184.108.40.206. I installed the package cameraprofiles_b1_win_072808.exe.
I tried to switch to a different monitor profile, but the same error messages showed up.
The loaded picture looks flat too. (see first message)
Export of new profiles and saving of receipes does seem to work though.
On my desktop XP, SP3 and spyderpro monotor profile with DNG Profile Editor 220.127.116.11. everything works perfectly.
Strange, isn't it...
Same issue here! My monitor profile was created with MonacoOptix 2 and works fine in all other application.
Sokrates and Alfred, can both of you please send me email at email@example.com? I would like to follow up with both of you on this issue. Thanks.
I also am on Vista Sp1 (Sony Vaio) and monitor calibrated with Spyder 3.
I have no problem at all with PE.
Thanks Max. It only affects certain systems with specific configurations.
I believe we have resolved this problem internally and the fix will be included with the next release of PE.
