    DNG Profiles, NEF and brightness

      Hi,

maybe this is a stupid question, but it keeps me wondering:
when I use the DNG-Profiles for NEF-files out of my Nikon D200, the Camera Neutral-profile looks noticable brighter than Adobe Standard. The histogram also makes "a little jump to the right", when switching to Camera Neutral. Some pictures, which look slightly underexposed with Adobe Standard are fine with Camera Neutral.

What's the purpose for this - I thought the aim of the profiles is to change the color rendering and not to change the brightness...?

      Best regards

      Holger
