The PME Spreadsheet should not be used for checking where an Encore-set Layer Break is located, as the start sector is almost certainly not going to be in the same place for the original Video_TS.IFO file.
This spreadsheet will only work when used from PME, with the original start sector of 640 for Video_TS.IFO.....
To use PME, you need to do the following:
1 - Create new DVD-Video Project in PME.
2 - Import the Encore generated Video_TS.
3 - Add your ROM folder (drag n drop)
4 - Set the LB.
Hope this helps. -
3. Re: GEAR and Encore CS3, I've almost got it but...
(Mike_C) Aug 12, 2008 12:45 AM (in response to (Mike_C))Well my original plan was to compare the LB that PME detected when the VIDEO_TS was imported with that of what the calculator outputted. But yes, I now know that I can't use the calculator to determine the LB because of the start sector differences.
Soooo...If I cannot use the calculator, how do I go about completing step 4 Set the LB? -

What I would do is export the Video_TS folder from Encore as it is.
Create a new DVD-Video project in PME.
Import the Video_TS
Import the ROM content
Set the LB with the spreadsheet.
(This has been 100% reliable for me)
