I am a long time DVD author using DVD Studio Pro and a feature that this program has over Encore is the ability to save encoded files. It can even import the final files so that the project never needs to encode again until a major change happens to a clip.
I am now authoring BluRay from Encore and it's great, but transcoding just 10 minutes of Final Cut Pro 1080p footage takes Encore 3 hours. Then, if I want to remake the disc with a minor change to just a slide show, not even the videos, I have to transcode all the video ALL OVER AGAIN! Regardless of the fact that nothing has changed in the source and it just transcoded this once, the transcodes to not save. This is a huge oversight and it wastes SO MUCH TIME!
The strange thing is, I can see all the files that the program makes for the disc, but I can't use any of it after the disc or disc image is made.
Please, I beg you guys to update this! It would save us hours when making simple changes to a Bluray disc.
Tom
