Page number references for printed documentation

I originally created my webhelp by importing pages from a set of MS Word files. The documents had page number references. In RoboHelp, I applied the print condition to them.

In the HTML text, I now see that the page numbers look like constants and the page references contain what look like the anchor portion of href references. They look like internal references within the referenced page but there is no HTML page reference. I also have a large number of what RoboHelp reports are broken links. I believe all of the broken links are the anchors next to the page numbers based on the few that I examined.

What is the right way to include page numbers for export to Printed Documentation?
