As a video instructor I'm trying to teach my students file management. Many of the students refuse to change the default save directory to point to their project directory. Is there anyway to change this default so that it points to no directory? (In other words, forcing them to find their project directory.)
Not that I'm aware of. Premiere uses the Windows GUI for saving, which always defaults to the last location a file was either saved to or opened from.
I forgot to mention my kids are on Macs.
But on both OSs the initial save location when creating the project automatically saves to the application's root directory.
Maybe this is something that can be requested for CS5... along with an easily accessible "save still" export.
