large file size when I split

Hi,

Can anyone tell me why when I split a 100 slide cp file into two 50 slide cp files each smaller file is the same file size as the original larger one?  My 100 slide cp file is 54 MB. When I split it up into two separate files, each 50-slide file is also 54 MB each.  Common sense tells me that each 50-slide cp file should be 27 MB.  I went through the split files and stripped out all of the unused library items and it didn't budge.  Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Hi there

What version of Captivate?

If Captivate 3, there is an issue with this where the file doesn't necessarily shrink when you remove objects. Click here to read a thread where this was discussed earlier today.

Cheers... Rick
