How to choose "F disc" when capturing with PE3?

    OGUL BALCI

      Hi all,

HC9e and 20 mini dv cassettes all recored as HDV.

I recently bought a Verbatim 1 Tb external hard disc and began to capture with Vegas pro 8 to this external unit.

The problem is that one hour recording becomes as 200 separate parts.

So I wanted to see how PE3 behaves?

The point that I reached is that I can open the files in the timeline but...

So where to go from this point? Export as...???

or is there any way to capture to this external hard disc directly with PE3?

      If yes, how?

      Thanks in advance.

I'm not entirely clear on what you're asking, Ogul, when you say "So where to go from this point? Export as...???"

But I can help you with your second question.

The easiest way to capture to your external drive is to create your Premiere Elements project file on this drive. Then your captured files will go there automatically.

Otherwise, when you open the capture screen to capture your video in Premiere Elements, you can manually set the files to capture to that drive right under where you name the captured files.
