what sound? how's it created?

it's an external file, mp3 file
i imported it to a layer
and then created two other layers one for the stop button and the second for resuming
so, what's the action to be used for the (resuming button) !!!
that's not the best way to use sound in flash.
it's more flexible and there are less complications if you remove that sound from the timeline, right click on it in the library, click linkage and assign it a linkage id. then create a sound instance:
var s:Sound = new Sound(this);
// you can then use:
s.start(); // to start your sound
s.stop(); // to stop your sound
// and, in fact, you can use all the sound methods and properties. check the flash help files.
i did it .. BUT
stopping button is ok
starting button .. start the sound from the first frame again
and i nead resuming from the frame i stopped
You could grab the position at which the sound has been stopped by using something like
soundPos = s.position;
// and then:
I think that should work but I haven't tried it.
the position is in ms, the start() parameter is in seconds. so, divide soundPos by 1000.
