I am having a problem exporting AVI's with flash cs4 when the sound is embedded in a movie clip. I get video but no audio. If the sound is on the main timeline, it works.
When I create a SWF or export as a MOV using movie clips with audio in them, there is no problem, either.
The problem is only with AVI's with audio in the movieclips. I don't think it has anything to do with the files I'm creating because all of my movies do the same thing.
I am sure it is just something I am doing wrong. Thanks.
I believe that MovieClips don't play in the AVI renderer. You will need to pull the things that are inside of MovieClips out to the main timeline to get this to work.
Or, you can export as a MOV, and then convert it to an AVI.
There is a free webservice that can do this conversion if you don't have the means to do it yourself:
Or try changing your movieclip symbol to a graphic symbol (and make sure the audio is set to 'stream').
