Can you give us some more information about the clip? What frames size is it, high definition or standard definition? And how did you capture it, from a camcorder or did you download it?
Many H.264 clips may come into PE7 with black video unless the appropriate codec is installed. In many cases it may be necessary to convert the H.264 to another format before importing.

I have recorded some HDTV movies with my new (photo- and movie)camera Canon Powershot SX1 IS.
They come along with 30 fps.
Do you need any more informations? PRE7 just comes around with the message, that .mov files are not supported :-(
Have you the latest version of QuickTime installed. I downloaded a 1920x1080 .mov sample movie from your camera (nice camera) from the internet and it opened without issue in PE7.
THAT was exactly the problem!
I have a brandnew PC running right here and not installed QT so far. Now I downloaded and installed V7.6 and it works!!
