A fellow user group manager commented that Attest proved to be very useful simulating the real life exam.

I used Attest 1.0 last year to pass the ACE exam for Flex 2. I found it very useful, though not as difficult as the real exam.
Attest 1.5 is an AIR app, and it seems identical to 1.0, though the questions are likely updated.
I paid $29 for 1.0, 1.5 is free. I'd say its worth your effort to install.
I passed the Flex 3 with AIR ACE exam yesterday (yeah !!!). It was kind of tough, but then again I'm weaker on the server side. I did great on UI programming and actionscript.
Did you use Attest 1.5?
If yes, how similar are the mock questions to the real ones in terms of difficulty, formats (length of questions and answers, number of answers to choose), and the areas covered?
I did not use Attest for the Flex 3 exam. The questions in the version for the Flex 2 exam did not cover the breadth of topics covered in the real exam, and some of the questions were not as difficult as the real exam.
That said, I did find Attest extremely valuable in preparing for the Flex 3 certification exam.
BTW, I'm currently working on a Flex app to help others prepare for the Flex 3 certification exam. It won't be ready until end of July, but it should have far more questions than Attest. Where Attest offers several "full" mock exams and several "mini" exams, my application will be designed to make persons "over-prepared" for the exam, because the end goal is not just to pass the exam, but to reach a high level of expertise in Flex.
I have not decided if I will charge for the application, we'll see how it turns out by end-of-July.
Attest is free, but I expect you will be more than pleased to buy my version, as it will be a different animal entirely.
Are there any AIR/Flex security related questions in the test? What materials were you using for them?
There were a lot of AIR questions (Flex 3 with AIR exam, right), and I used the Flex Builder help system for study. The FB help system is the best study guide around, it just takes a long time to get through it.
