I am a student at the Art Institute Online program. I am taking a video editing class using Premiere Pro CS4. I successfully completed my video which needs to be saved to display in Quicktime; however, I am not able to upload the file to my class discussion because the file is too large. The size of my Tfile zipped is 169,761 KB. Is there anything anyone can recommend?
I doubt that zipping a video file will do much to reduce resolution. What you have to do to reduce file size is reduce the quality and frame size.
Thank you for your response, but I am a novice at using Premiere. Can you suggest how can I do this?
You need to reduce the bitrate to reduce the file size.
It is okay to then ZIP the file to make it even smaller for uploading to a server, however people will have to then download it and unzip it to watch.
You will also find links to many free tutorials in the PremiereProPedia that will quickly show you how things are done in Premiere Pro.
