I'm working with a Premiere Pro CS3 project who's media files are offline.
I have a sequence with a 5 second clip on it. The clip is offline - however the main clip ran about 20 minutes - I just want to grab the 5 seconds I'm using on the timeline. I tried to double click on the clip in the timeline but it shows me the master clips timecode from the in to the out (the full 20 minutes).
When a clip is offline, is there any way to determine the in and out points (the timecode) of the clip that's on the sequence without having to recapture the whole clip?
One other thing I wanted to mention. I tried using the Project Manger to trim my project down and it worked.
However when I tried to recapture my clips that were offline, it appears that the trimmed project timecodes were off and while doing a batch capture Premiere was capturing the wrong parts of the tape.
Does trimming a project change your timecodes?
