Video imported into Premiere and After Affects CS4 becomes jumpy

    robdavis

I have MPG video files shot with a Sony Cybershot DSC-T100. When viewed in Quicktime or VLC they play back fine.

When imported into Premiere CS4 4.0.1 some videos appear jumpy in preview AND after export. Every second or so there is a jitter where the frame appears to jump in time. Other videos from the same source appear fine.

When imported into After Effects CS4 and re-exported directly the video is also rendered jumpy.

The native video properties are pasted below.

I'm working on a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.5.6; 2,8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo with 4GB RAM.

Can anyone tell how to stop this happening?

      Rob
