I imported a wmv movie, then cut few frame and export again using Window Media 9. Why I am getting a low quality movie? How I can retain the original codec bitrate and quality when exporting movies
Welcome to the forums.
You would do better to use the free Windows Media Encoder from Microsoft to do what you're doing.
I do not believe that PPro is able to not recompress WMV upon export.
So WME does not recompress WMV files? I did not know that. I've only used it, when I needed one of its presets, that PrPro did not offer. It's only 8:30AM here in "sunny" AZ, and I've learned something new already - coffee break!
As Eddie points out, your file is already compressed, and PrPro will compress it all over again - like a Xerox® copy of a Xerox® copy (OK, let's call it an "electrostatic copy"). Thanks for the question, because Eddie taught me something about WME.
