Not sure if this is the best way but I'd copy them all to one directory, open bridge and select sort -----by date created and then use the option tools --- batch rename to rename the files in order.
Haven't come accross a way to do it in ACR but I'm no expert.
How do I do this in Camera Raw 4.0 (PC).
You don't...you'll need to use Bridge to combine and sort the images...and you should be asking in the Windows Bridge Forum down the hall.
Great to see a post by Jeff Schewe again! I was beginning to lose hope.
Totally independent from your question, you should not be running ACR 4.0 in Photoshop CS3. Update to ACR 4.6 ASAP.
Ian, thanks for getting back to me. This helps, however, I don't see an option to do this by time.
FYI, I'm using Bridge 22.214.171.124. Not sure if there is a newer version with more options.
Actually, I'm on ver. 4.6.
Folks, Bridge did it! What confussed me was the fact that I needed to do this by date inwhich the time part also took over - didn't know that. Learn something everyday!
I first tested a few in a separate folder and it worked fine then moved to a folder with over 300 and it worked great.
I guess I need to dig into Bridge a little more - some good stuff there!
Thanks for all the suggestions and help!
